Capulin Volcano National Monument, NM

Singing the Wheels on the Bus go round and round does not make it any more fun.
btw, sleeping on a bus SUCKS.
okay it was a quick drive by, but I was there and I saw Capulin Volcano. Capulin Volcano is at more than 7000 feet in elevation.

Texas to Washington - by bus

okay, so with three kids traveling cross country for four weeks, packing Light is a relative term.
this could be fun... it could...
Little nephew didn't last long
hmm, "war of the worlds?"

Arrow of Light and Super Achiever

Chief: Takachsin
Medicine Man: Weuchsowagam
Guide: Witschindin
Guard: Kinhican

Chief: I shall now recite the virtues of the Arrow of Light Award which are represented by these seven candles.
  • Faith: Is when you can believe in something without the need for physical proof or evidence that it is true.

  • Wisdom: means not always being the smartest, but putting the knowledge you have to the right use.
  • Self-Control: is not just for your temper, but the way you behave with all things you do and the way you treat everyone you meet each day.
  • Hope: is believing in the future; that what must be can be, for the better; and that you can make a difference.

  • Love: is caring more about the ones you love than yourself, your family, friends, other people, your home and Country and most of all God.

  • Justice: is when you treat everyone just how you want to be treated; fairly and without regard to who they are, where they are from or what they believe in.
  • Courage: doesn’t mean you don’t know when to be afraid, but that you do what you must in spite of your fears.

"Chlorine: the breakfast of champions."

"If I had a dime for every time I drive to the pool..."

"The best things in life are free. Fly, back, and breast aren't bad either."

"Swimming
No shirt, no shoes, no problem"

"If I have but one day to live, please take me to a swim meet because they last forever."

"Butterfly n.
A swimming stroke requiring (in theory) super human strength and extraordinary co-ordination but characterized (in actuality) by randomly placed arm movements and erratic breathing patterns. Performance of this stroke is usually accompanied by incessant yelling on the part of the coach, sheer hysteria on the part of the parent and near drowning on the part of the swimmer."

Modern Poetry

Forever
------Papa Roach

In the brightest hour
Of my darkest day
I realized
What is wrong with me

Can't get over you
Can't get through to you
It's been a helter-skelter, romance from the start

Take these memories
That are haunting me
Of a paper man cut into shreds
By his own pair of scissors
He'll never forgive her...
He'll never forgive her...

[CHORUS]
Because days! Come and go!
But my feelings for you are forever
Because days come and go
But my feelings for you are forever

Sitting by a fire
On a lonely night
Hanging over from another good time
With another girl...
Little dirty girl
You should listen to this story of her life

You're my heroine-
In this moment I'm lonely
fullfilling my darkest dreams
All these drugs, all these women
I'm never forgiving...
this broken heart of mine

[CHORUS]
Because days! Come and go!
But my feelings for you are forever
Because days come and go
But my feelings for you are forever

One last kiss...
Before I go...
Dry your tears...
It is time to let you go...

One last kiss(One last kiss)
Before I go(Before I go)
Dry your tears(Dry your tears)
It is time to let you go...

Because days! Come and go!
But my feelings for you are forever
Because days come and go
But my feelings for you are forever

One last kiss(One last kiss)
Before I go(Before I go)
Dry your tears(Dry your tears)
It is time to let you go...

One last Kiss...
Before I go...
Dry your tears...
It is time to let you go...

One Last Kiss.

High Island, Bolivar Pennisula, Texas Gulf Coast

Crossing the Houston Ship Channel, bigger than I thought.
My First Ferry Ride, it was pretty kewl.Erik: contact dermatitis from the Gulf Water, sun burn despite SPF 50, sand in places that a BOY should never have SAND (Magnus had SOMETHING bite his TENTACLE) and TWO rides on the Ferry. It was a historical day.
